We highly recommend properly storing the batteries at room temperature during freezing conditions to preserve the battery lifespan. In situations where the post cap is left in the element of freezing conditions, the switch should be tuned to the off position. Wait at least 4 hours after the post cap has been exposed to temperatures above freezing to turn to the on position.

If your tired of cheap, plastics solar post lights that fade in color in 8 months and are made with cheap solar panels that rarely last longer than 12 months, then these are your best bet. They are made with heavy duty aluminum and electro plated and coated with several attractive colors that will last years. The solar panel is the highest quality and are programmable for desired lighting duration. When you hold one of these lights in your hands you know you purchased the best post light on the market. I bought four for my condo deck and they were easy to install and fit perfectly to my 6×6 posts. They look great! I highly recommend this company and these Savvy Solar Post Lights…THE BEST!

I love these lights! I only have 1 problem. first I bought 6 lights. Loved them, so we bought 8 more. the first 6 even though they all get about the same daylight last only a couple hours after dusk. the other 8 last the whole 6 hours to which I had had them set. I was hoping I didn’t have to buy a transformer.

I think this product is probably fine but I live in VT and was not aware until arrived that it doesn’t tolerate low temperatures. The shipping cost a lot so I guess I won’t return it but can only use it about 6 months of the year?

Purchased a Savvy Little Rondi 3-1/2″ solar post cap. Works as described. Instructions included are excellent and easy to follow. Bought this one to test in the mountains of NC. Will buy more to finish our deck. Only complaint is the silicone plug for the optional charger keeps falling out and gets lost. Needs improvement on this minor annoyance. Otherwise, great solid product.

Quality level of the engineering is miles above every other solar solution we examined (we have the design background to be pretty certain of that statement); best description is ‘solid’; CREE is a big plus, too
